Islington poet, Jan Noble, is filming a short documentary about his latest poem, ‘Swan’. The 15-minute-long dramatic monologue was performed and filmed in pubs all over London that bear the word ‘Swan’ in their title. The poem received a mixed reaction from audiences.
Mr Noble is shooting the film across North London with his producer, Adam Carr. They are hoping to reflect the themes of the poem through filming the landscape of London.
The film will debut at the East-End Film Festival next year, where Jan is the current poet in residence. After the film’s release he hopes it will be taken across international waters to feature in film festivals abroad.
