The free Isle of Dogs pop-up will last until the 5th of April.

The free Isle of Dogs pop-up exhibition is taking place at 180 The Strand, which gives locals a rare chance to experience the world of this highly acclaimed film.

“I think that’s a really nice thing – to see the craft, to see the work that’s put into it. I mean that’s very specific to Wes Anderson’s films. I mean he deliberately makes stop-frame films [where] you see craft, you see the design, you see the real things,” Animation Director of the film, Mark Waring, told City News.

Curated by Wes Anderson himself, the exhibition displays the original sets and the dog puppets used in the actual film.

For super fans, a special limited edition Isle of Dogs t-shirts will be on sale!

With a fun twist, the pop-up also includes a life-size recreation of one of the sets in the movie; a ramen bar!

The traditional Japanese ramen bowls will come in chicken and vegetable flavours, and will be cooked by Akira Shimizu, the head chef of Soho’s Engawa.

The menu will also feature Sake cocktails during the night-time.

Although the pop-up is free, the ramen and cocktails will not be free.

The film’s soundtrack will also be played throughout the pop-up.

The pop-up will be on until the 5th of April, between 11 am and 7 pm Saturday to Wednesday and 11 am to 10 pm on Thursdays and Fridays.

The new film opens this Friday and stars include Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Scarlett Johannson, Tilda Swinton, and Bryan Cranston.

The movie follows a young boy, in a dystopian future Japan, searching for his dog after all the dogs in the nation are banished to an island after an illness outbreak.

The movie was predominantly filmed in East London.

The movie’s director Wes Anderson previously directed movies like Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom and The Grand Budapest Hotel.
