The Passion of Jesus is an annual event organised by the Bible Society and supported by the Mayor of London.

The Passion of Jesus, a free demonstration, will happen in Westminster’s Trafalgar Square this Friday.

It will showcase the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ as explained in the bible.

With a cast of more than 100 actors, the performance is meant to commemorate the day Jesus is believed to have been crucified. The performance will also include horses, donkeys, and doves.

The Passion of Jesus is an annual event organised by the Bible Society and supported by the Mayor of London.

The organisers of the event say that the purpose of the production is to shed light on the Christian message.

Last year, 20,000 people came to watch the demonstration.

The event will include  two 90-minutes performances; one at 12:00 GMT and the other at 15:15 GMT.

Charlotte de Klee, the producer of the adaptation, told City News: “The Passion of Jesus brings together people of all denominations as well as non-Christians.”

Klee added: “We all stand together for the one story. The Passion makes the most important day in the Christian calendar available for free to the people of London. Our multiracial audience echoes the diverse student body within London  promoting understanding and learning particularly for non Christians who are curious and interested about other faiths. The Passion is a story from our culture – historic, educational and spiritual. It needs to be told and shouldn’t be forgotten. You don’t have to believe it but you should know about it.”

The event does not require any tickets, and there will be a livestream for those who cannot make the event.

The livestreams will take happen at 11:45 GMT and 15:15 GMT and can be accessed by clicking here.

British sign language, as well as projections onto larger screens, will be provided for everyone to be able to enjoy the demonstration.

The very first The Passion of Jesus demonstration took place back in 2010, on Good Friday, in Trafalgar Square.
