The Co-op Arena has postponed over five different artists' events

After multiple cancellations and setbacks, the UK’s biggest indoor arena is reopening tonight.

Manchester’s Co-op Live arena will host the band – Elbow,  after safety inspectors say they are “satisfied” with improvements.

The newly-built arena had been having issues since its test event in April, when the capacity was reduced due to issues with the electricity supply.

The largest indoor arena in the UK cost £365 million pounds to build.

Rock band Elbow, who are from Manchester, are confident they will play tonight after writing to fans on X yesterday “see you there”.

Other artists who have been affected by the arena’s set-backs are Peter Kay, Olivia Rodrigo, Keane, Take That, Black Keys and A Boogie wit da Hoodie.
