A man who stood five hours on the railing of a top floor in Queens Crescent since 8am has voluntarily climbed down from a balcony.
Officers fired a Taser and attempted on several occasions to persuade the man to get down from the building.
Police were originally called to the scene to “ carry out an arrest enquiry” when the man had then made his way to the roof.
Residents in the area were advised to remain in their homes until the chaos had come to an end.
The safety of the man was on high alert with the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade being in attendance.
One resident who asked not to be named “ He is going to get colder and colder up there until he can’t hang anymore. I just hope he does not slip “
The man had made several demands to the authorities claiming that “were going to do it my way or no way at all”
