The 87 year old disgraced entertainer was convicted in 2014 at Southwark Crown Court on 12 counts of indecent assault. The incidents all occurred between the late 60s and early 80s.

Lord Justice Treacy, Mrs Justice McGowan and the Recorder of Preston, Judge Mark Brown ruled that one of Harris’ convictions was unsafe.

They turned down appeals for all 11 other counts.  Victims of the assaults included  an eight-year-old autograph hunter and two girls in their early teens.

Harris was also found to have abused a friend of his daughter over 16 years.

Rolf Harris was sentenced to five years and nine months for the assaults. He has already served his sentence and has since been released.

Harris, who lives in Bray, Berkshire, was not in court for the ruling.

The prosecution said that they will not seek a retrial for the conviction that has been overturned. Judges agreed that a second trial would not be in the public interest.
