A large area around St. Paul's Cathedral was cordoned off while City of London police were investigating the incident.
Police are still in attendance near St Paul’s following a report of a suspicious package inside a building. The police were called at 10.23am.
The item has now been deemed non suspicious and officers have cleared the incident. Cordons have now been lifted.
TfL has announced that St Paul’s tube station is currently closed whilst the police respond to this security alert.
