Police are investigating two sexual assaults that took place on a bus in Harrow in September.

The Met police have surveyed CCTV footage from the 140 bus toward Harrow Weald on the morning of 27 September. Two images have been released of a man who the police would like to speak to in relation to the incident.

“In both circumstances the man trapped the victim so she cannot move away from him and brazenly carries out his attack in broad daylight on a bus full of people,” the Met said.

The attack was immediately reported to the police by one of the victims, a 14-year-old girl, after she was able to push past the man and get off the bus. The police are encouraging the second victim to come forward to make a statement.

The man who carried out the attack was described by one of the victims as being in his 50s with glasses and a moustache. The girl said she was trapped in a standing area of the bus and touched inappropriately.
