A Highgate by-election is underway with four parties battling to win the Camden Council seat.
The previous Green councillor, Sian Berry, triggered the by-election when she resigned in October this year to run as MP for Brighton, Pavilion.
The Brighton constituency is currently held by Caroline Lucas who announced that she will stand down at the next general election.
Ms Berry had represented the Highgate ward for nine years, with the Green Party having held a seat since 2006.
She is amongst a string of London councillors who have stepped down to run as MPs outside of the capital, including councillor Tom Rutland.
He recently stepped down from his role in Streatham to run as East Worthing and Shoreham’s first Labour MP.
The Highgate by-election candidates are Trisha Leman for Labour, Wakjira Feyesa for the Conservative Party, Lorna Jane Russell for the Green Party and Farrell Monk for the Liberal Democrats.
The results will be revealed on 1 December.
