The updated 2024 Women’s Health Strategy has praised women’s health hubs, including one in Hackney.
The report says it’s encouraging how the hubs, which provide “integrated women’s health services” centred on women’s needs, are being set up around the UK.
The Health Secretary Victoria Atkins announced new women’s health priorities for 2024 on Wednesday, 17 January.
Speaking at the Women’s Health Summit in central London Victoria Atkins said: “We’re breaking historical barriers that prevent women getting the care they need, building greater understanding of women’s healthcare issues and ensuring their voices and choices are listened to.”

The strategy takes aim at a variety of women’s health challenges. It will also offer a boost to women’s health research and support for sexual and domestic abuse victims.
The strategy also cited a north west London postnatal contraception trial, which 97% of women were satisfied with.
