Severe disruption is expected on strike days between Thursday and Monday as Aslef continue to fight for better pay.

Train companies are not using the new minimum service levels law, a decision Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has called “disappointing.”

The law means they can require staff to work on strike days to run 40% of services.

Different operators are taking action on different days:

Friday: Greater Anglia, C2C, LNER

Saturday: West Midlands Trains, Avanti West Coast, East Midlands Railway

Monday: Great Western, CrossCountry, Chiltern

There are no strikes on Thursday or Sunday, though Aslef members are refusing to work overtime until Tuesday.

The London Underground will not be affected and will operate as normal.

Passengers are encouraged to check their route before travelling.
