Northern line stop Colindale will close from 7 June until December 2024, says Transport for London (TfL), as they complete major upgrades to the station.
TfL have said the 1960s entrance will be replaced with a “landmark” building, including a spacious ticket hall.
They also plan to install a lift and new staircases, which are due to be finished in autumn 2025. The station will open to the public at the end of 2024 using a temporary passageway.
TfL have advised customers to use buses to reach nearby stations whilst work is carried out. They say they are currently working with bus operators to make sure key local routes are accessible during the upgrades.
The work is mainly funded by the government’s Levelling Up Fund as well as contributions from Barnet Council, local developers and TfL.
