This Red Nose Day, Former Arsenal Women’s Player Alex Scott will be joining Dragon’s Den Sara Davies, I’m a Celeb’s Vicky Pattinson and former Love Island host Laura Whitmore on an Arctic trek.
Titled, ‘Snow Going Back: Comic Relief vs The Arctic’ sees Comic Relief’s first female only celebrity line-up venturing on an Arctic mission. Their trek is set to start from the edge of the Arctic Circle in Tromso, Norway and heading into the wild.
During their below freezing journey, they will spend four days attempting to hike, ski, go cross-country and cycle to their finish line 50km away. These conditions will be made worse by the Arctic’s 8 hours of daylight everyday and temperatures hitting as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius.
The four celebrities will be in charge of pitching their tents and are limited to dried food rations, no running water, heating or electricity.
The money raised from this challenge will go towards reducing poverty, providing food, healthcare and shelter for people both in the UK and around the world.
