The 31 year old female victim is said to be ‘improving’ in hospital, but police are still unable to speak to her. The attacker also injured the victims two young daughters.
Detectives have believed Ezedi went into the Thames at Chelsea bridge since the 9th February. This was based on CCTV footage showing him at leaning over the bridge and then disappearing from sight.
Commander Jon Savell from the Met Police has said: “Based on the distinctive clothing he was wearing at the time of the attack and property found on his body, we strongly believe we have recovered the body of Ezedi.
“We have been in contact with his family to pass on the news.”
The Met say formal identification might take some time.
