Rail companies are telling passengers to check before travelling as train driver strikes and overtime bans continue.
LNER, TransPennine Express and Northern are all running reduced services. There’s also no Gatwick Express service running.
Train drivers in the Aslef Union are striking over pay, saying they haven’t had a pay rise in five years.
The Union’s accused the Government of “giving up” on pay disputes.
The Department for Transport says it’s already made a pay offer that would take the average train driver’s salary to £65,000.
LNER says tickets for today will be valid until Monday 13 May 2024:
Your existing ticket will be valid up to & including Mon 13 May, in the same class of travel.
If your journey is affected by industrial action, or you decide not to travel, claim a fee-free refund here: https://t.co/1bwCyN28Zd / original point of sale.
