The daughter of former footballer Paul Gascoigne has revealed Mohamed Al Fayed forced himself onto her. He began grooming her when she worked at Harrods as a 16-year-old.
In an exclusive interview with Sky News, Ms. Gascoigne described the events leading to the assaults.
Mr. Al Fayed initially appeared ‘charming’ and would bring her gifts.
This soon changed as Al Fayed abused his position of power to assault the then teenager on a weekly basis.
This revelation follows a string of 60 allegations of rape and sexual assault against Mr. Al Fayed, including allegations by ex-Fulham Ladies’ captain Ronnie Gibbins.
The Justice for Harrods Survivors group was set up up to represent the victims of Al Fayed. Currently, there are 147 women seeking compensation from Harrods.
The department store told the BBC yesterday that it is settling over 250 claims brought forth by women alleging sexual misconduct.
Mr. Al Fayed owned London’s largest department store from 1985-2010. He sold the store for £1.5 billion to the state of Qatar in 2010.
The new owners have said they are “appalled” by the actions of Al Fayed, who died in August 2023 at the age of 94.
