Harshita Brella died by strangulation, a post mortem finds. The 24 year old’s body was found in Ilford, East London, on Thursday.
The suspect is 23 year old Pankaj Lamba, Harshita’s husband.
Northamptonshire police released CCTV footage revealing new images of the suspect. These include photos of the suspect’s silver Vauxhall Corsa which is believed to be the vehicle used to transport Harshita’s body to London.
The 24 year old was said to be under the protection of a court order designed for victims of domestic abuse.
Harshita’s family told ITV news that they believe the police should have done more to protect her, who they allege was being abused by her husband.
The police are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious, or seen Pankaj Lamba in the days leading up to the discovery of Harshita’s body.
The whereabouts of Pankaj Lamba are currently unknown.
Northamptonshire police say that anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room by calling 101, quoting Operation Westcott.
