CCTV images have been published of a man wanted in connection with the incident.

The British Transport Police have shared images of a suspect following a violent assault against a train driver in east London.

The incident happened at around 11:55pm on Monday 22 January at Bromley-By-Bow Underground Station in Tower Hamlets.

A man punched through the glass of the train driver’s window and repeatedly assaulted him.

The driver managed to safely bring the train to a stop and no passengers were injured.

However, police say the victim was left traumatised by what happened.

The man had left the train at Bromley-By-Bow station.

Police are sharing images of an individual they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

They have asked anyone with information to contact the transport police by texting 61016, or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference number 710 of 22 January.
