Man in custody after Hammersmith stabbing

A man has been arrested after a stabbing in Hammersmith. The suspect is in custody as the police continue to look for other suspects.

Met Police were called to Fulham Palace Road on Monday morning at 6.10am after an 18-year-old man was injured.

Reportedly the victim had just left a corner shop – after being pushed back in as the stabbing happened.

The Met said that the victim was then chased by a group of males.

The victims injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

A cordon was put in place by The Met police outside the corner shop Best One, where the attack happened, a neighbour told the Standard.

Police are urging anyone witnesses to come forward by contacting police on 101 and quoting the reference 944/18Nov

The investigation is ongoing.
