Last night Tottenham Hotspur suffered a debilitating blow in their Champions League campaign, losing 1-0 to Bayer Leverkusen.
Spurs have recently been playing their home games at Wembley, and many fans are suggesting that the unfamiliar surroundings might be to blame. Tottenham’s manager Mauricio Poccetino said his side’s performance was embarrassing, though he refused to blame the loss on what is being described as the Wembley effect.
He stated that it was the team itself that takes 100 per cent of the responsibility for the loss.
