Harry Kane and Jack Wilshire have been among those selected for the England cup qualifier against Scotland on Friday

Jack Wilshire was previously a controversial choice after a period of injury and poor form at Arsenal but has reportedly improved his form on loan at Sunderland. The 24 year old midfielder was left out of the previous two squads. Gareth Southgate said of the inclusion that “Wilshere is a player that we feel has a lot of class and is now starting to get more 90 minutes under his belt. It’s good to bring him back into the squad.”

Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw will not be included in the squad. They missed Manchester United’s 3-1 victory over Swansea City last week and were declared unfit by their manager. Spurs midfielder Dele Alli also misses out due to a twisted ankle.

However liverpool players Adam Lallana, Nathaniel Clyne and Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling will all be included in the matchup. England face Scotland at Wembley Stadium on Friday and then play Spain on the 15th November.
