Welsh football player Ben Davies will not be playing in the upcoming world qualifier against Serbia on Saturday, due to an ankle injury he suffered during a champions league game for Tottenham last week.
Tottenham lost 1-0 against Bayer Leverkusen to be knocked out of the competition, and Davies also missed a Tottenham 1-1 draw against Arsenal on Sunday. He has been replaced by Sunderland’s 24 year old Andrew Matthews. Wales are currently third in Group D with three points behind Serbia and the Republic of Ireland.
