Arsenals Alexis Sanchez could potentially face a period of injury. This comes after getting a knock in training ahead of his World Cup Qualifier against Columbia on Friday.
The Chilean forward was hurt during his practice sessions earlier on in the week. Chilean head coach, Juan Antonio Pizzi, assured there is nothing to worry about saying, “Alexis Sanchez’s injury is minor. Let’s hope he can be fit to play against Uruguay”.
With Chile sitting fifth in the South American qualifying table, he could be the star player ensuring their qualification. Sanchez spoke on his injury saying, “It is hurting a bit but I’m fine. I’ll be back for Tuesday”.
Arsenal do not want to take any precautions after there were fears he could be out for six weeks. His injury could cause problems for Arsenal manager, Aresne Wenger, as he wants a fresh squad ready to face Manchester United one week after the international break.
