Camden based netball club, Cumberland, have noticed a sharp increase in the participation of the sport this year, due to the rising increase in netball being played both internationally and competitively.
England Netball also released figures this week stating that netball participation has increased 35% in 2016.
With an England and Jamaica test match being played in the iconic Olympic on Tuesday evening, fans poured out in their thousands to watch the Roses take on the Sunshine girls in the first of three sold out international test matches.
This was the first time England had played Jamaica in netball in four years. England are currently 3rd in the world and Jamaica a close fourth. Although England experienced a marginal loss at Tuesday nights games, Captain Ama Agbeze believes that they can turn it around a secure at win at this weekends games in Manchester.
