Highgate women are hoping to take back a victory this Saturday in their final league race. The running team have won at least 7 out of 8 leagues in recent years.
Highgate women are on the cusp of a great achievement, particularly as the have a very good record also, in the South of England Championships in recent times, including 2nd this year.
They have a narrow lead of 33 points, to the second placed team London Heathside, who have 1057 points with another danger Serpentine RC on 865 points. That is the situation as they go into their final race, at Alexandra Palace.
Saturday could be a ‘Red Letter day’ for the club if they get their best runners out for the final league race.
Regarding the money prizes, Emma Dixon and Hannah Viner are definitely well in the running for those, and for the men Robel Bahelbi and Chris Rainsford could be in for some money too!
