Spurs coach Mauricio Pochettino has declared that his star striker Harry Kane is “one of the best in the world”.

The England international scored a first-half hat-trick in Tottenham’s 4-0 win against Stoke at the weekend, claiming the match ball as well as the man of the match.

The 23-year-old has scored 17 goals ,equaling the quota of Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez and Everton’s Romalu Lukaku, as the league’s leading goal scorers.

Harry Kane is confident in his goal scoring ability as he admits his stats support his position as one of the most prolific strikes in the world. The striker told The Guardian that, “I think I am in the best form of my career. I feel fresh, I feel sharp, I feel in good shape.” “As a striker you always want to win the golden boot. There’s a lot of top strikers up there at the minute – I think I might be joint top now – and there are still a lot of games to play.”

Kane won the Golden Boot last season after scoring 25 goals. He hopes to beat his personal best this season as Spurs push on to close the gap between themselves and London rivals, Chelsea at the top of the table. “Look, I just try to do my best. I like to score goals, obviously I will try and score as many as I can from now until the end of the season. I feel in good form.”
