Currently, Brown has raised £4,930 on crowdfunder by the help of 103 supporters. His fundraising project has been active for 28 days.
The £10,000 raised will cover his travel to competitions, accommodation, competition entry fees, and sports therapy fees.
If he raises over £10,000 he says will be able to focus a larger amount of his time and energy to the training and preparation needed to qualify for the olympics.

Brown grew up in Bethnal Green, East London, and started Karate when he was 11. On his Crowdfunder project page, Brown explains that for the first time in the history of the olympics, Karate is accepted as an olympic sport. He adds that, again for the the first time in olympic history, the 2020 games will take place in Tokyo, Japan.
