Arsenal’s £60m bid for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang still hangs on the decisions of two other teams.
Borussia Dortmund is refusing to sell Aubameyang unless they find a replacement before the transfer window closes tomorrow. Dortmund have turned their attention to Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, but the west London club are unlikely to sell the forward unless they obtain the services of 31 year old French international Olivier Giroud.
Giroud and Batshuayi are both keen to gain first team football in a
World Cup year, something neither of them are currently getting at their respective clubs.
Arsenal look to replace the Chilean international Alexis Sanchez who moved to Manchester United earlier in the transfer window. Aubameyang, who has scored 22 goals in 28 appearances for the German club, could be set to follow his former team mate Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Arsenal after the Armenian’s move from Manchester United.
