Lord's wins bid to continue hosting the Ashes series

The match will be the 38th test match between England and Australia to be held at the commonly known ‘Home of Cricket’.

Guy Lavender, Chief Executive and Secretary of Marylebone Cricket Club who are based at Lord’s said he firmly believes Lord’s is where the cricketers of the world want to play and the fans of the sport wish the watch.

The St John’s Wood ground has held the most test matches of any cricket ground in the world, with 135 played there since its inaugural 1884 match.

The announcement also revealed the very same five grounds will host the 2023 Ashes that are hosting next summer’s edition.
