Chelsea Ladies player Maria Thorisdóttir is positive ahead of tomorrows match against Montpellier.

Chelsea Ladies take on Montpellier tomorrow in the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinal.

Maria Thorisdóttir, who plays in defence said she is very exited for the match.

“Its a big game for us. We had a good away game Wednesday last week where we won 2-0, so we are ready for the next one now”, she said.

After a 2-0 victory against Montpellier in the away game last week, the result means that Chelsea Ladies will reach the European Semi-Finals for the first time if they win by more than a goal in the second leg tomorrow.

The team could make history if they go through to the next round.

“It is a really important game for us, and it would be amazing for the club and for us to go through to the semi-final”, Thorisdóttir adds.

Chelsea Ladies are currently on the top of their league, ahead of Manchester City Women and Arsenal Ladies. Thorisdotter says it will be a tough match.

“It will be tough challenge because Montpellier is a good team, so we need to step up and we cant be easy on them. They are really good”

“But I am feeling ready for the match, we are very exited and ready to try and win the second leg against Montpellier”, she said.

Chelsea Ladies will play Montpellier at 7.05pm Wednesday evening on Stamford Bridge.
