Detectives investigating the murder of 31-year-old Luther Edwards on Friday 29th of July have released CCTV images of two men suspected of committing the crime. The images were taken from York Hall, Bethnal Green at around 20:30 on the same day as the stabbing. Police are appealing to the public to provide any information about the two men captured in the footage.
The detectives have said they are eager to identify and question the two men; both aged in their mid-twenties, and seen in the photos to be wearing dark casual clothing.
Edwards had been found after the attack collapsed on the forecourt of a petrol station at the jouncing of Old Fort Road and Cambridge Heath Road. He had supposedly been at a boxing match nearby where he had gotten into a fight, and then after a post-mortem examination, it was announced he had died of stabbing to the heart.
Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith said “It has been three months since Luther’s murder and his family have been left devastated by his loss which has been compounded by the fact that the person or persons responsible have yet to be caught”
