Barnet General Hospital is to start using a new Google app to track patients’ medical history.
The technology advance is seen to make an large improvement in the quality and speed or patient’s record, test results and overall experience at the facility. The deal has been made between Google subsidiary Deep Mind and the Royal Free NHS Trust.
Harrison Carter from the British Medical Association stated that although the app will improve data management throughout the hospital, the most important fact is patient confidentiality. If successful, the advance can spend to other hospitals throughout London’s boroughs.
