Parliament MPs are debating the possible merger between the London Stock Exchange and the Deutch Boerse in Parliament today.

Conservatives William Cash and Anne Marie Morris are fighting against the £20 billion deal. Frankfurt and London began negotiations on the merger in February.

Anne Marie Morris, MP for New Abbot said, “As we enter Brexit negotiations the end game is not clear. It is not a time to risk uncertainty in our financial markets. The decision should be postpone until April 2019 when the country will already be in the single market.”
