Hackney Council has been named as the second biggest spender on bird control in the country.
The report by the BBC shows that the council spent approximately £162,000 between 2013 and 2016.
Dee Ward Thompson of British Pest Control Association told City News that their efforts which included installing pigeon proofing measures on over 500 buildings have resulted in reduced complaints from residents.
