Haringey council is striving to help local young people develop their career prospects with the launch of the Haringey Apprenticeship Fair today. The fair will give people the chance to speak to local employers across a range of industries including Accountancy & Finance, Construction, Digital Media & IT, Engineering, Fashion and Healthcare.
Since the government raised university fees in 2012, many young people have been deterred from continuing on to higher education. Apprenticeships have become an increasingly popular alternative for people hoping to receive vocational training without the prospect of burdening debt.
