Caroline Russell, Chair of the London Assembly Economy Committee says that the “Mayor should have a full license. That way profits stay in London and don’t go to Nottingham.”
Angelic Energy is a not-for-profit energy supplier launched last week, which is owned by Islington Council, in partnership with Robin Hood Energy.
They have pricing and terms that claimed to be ‘easy to understand,’ and say their aim is ‘to supply energy as cheaply as possible to Londoners.’
The website stresses that the company ‘does not pay shareholder dividends or directors’ bonuses so any profits go back into keeping prices low for customers.
