Thames Water told City News that the works will end today, but they haven’t confirmed the exact time that the road segment will re-open.
Apart from affecting Upper Street, Islington High Street and Essex Road have also been disrupted.
The works have led to traffic and bus diversions for the past seven months, disrupting many commuter journeys.
Southbound services were temporarily diverted on Upper Street, causing commuter concerns between August 16 and early November.
Thames Water said that the works done in front of Angel Station will make the pipes “much stronger” and that they will “provide top quality service”.
